Mary Helen's is located in Batesville, Indiana. We proudly became established in the fall of 2010. If you are seeking an intimate atmosphere filled with beautiful scenery and delicious food then look no further...we are that destination. We serve both as a bed & breakfast through out the week and fine dining on the weekend. Our 5 course dinner is an experience which usually takes 2 hours to complete, leaving ample time between courses to enjoy good conversation in a cozy, peaceful environment.

We are certain you will find our setting most appealing. We are located on 3 acres of professionally landscaped ground. Feel free to enjoy a private walk around the property to see nature at its best. You are welcome to feed large koi fish in our pond or relax on the front porch with conversation. Our mission is to bring you peace and relaxation while indulging in great food.

This house was originally built in 1988 by owners Jim & Cindy Bischoff.
Jim designed and constructed the house with oak wood harvested from the property. The land has been within his family for over 75 years. You'll find high vaulted ceilings throughout. Our establishment is named after Jim's mother, Mary Helen Bischoff, who passed away in April 2004. She was an inspiration to all, especially her 9 boys and husband Robert. She was absolutely selfless and dedicated life toward loving her children and grandchildren. We cannot forget her second passion; pleasing us with tasteful recipes from the kitchen!
